Well, it is kinda important that we quantify and document these things. For once, I'm actually not being sarcastic. And for the reasons that y'all have already mentioned: there will always be deniers and equivocators and demagogues and such who try to spin the facts or the absence of facts or the invented facts into something that better suits their needs and delusions.
